Speeds vary by model, ranging from up to 7,000 #10 envelopes per hour on the benchtop iJetColor 1175, to 6,210–10,000+ per hour on the 1175C, 10,000+ per hour on the 1175 Pro + PXG, and as high as 20,000 #10 envelopes per hour on the HP iJetColor 1275 Pro, which is designed to match offset-level production volumes.

Depending on the model, these presses print on standard envelopes (#9, #10, remit, catalog, coin), direct mail pieces, letterhead, invitations, and non-standard thick media such as bubble mailers, padded envelopes, corrugated pieces, boxes, bags, and coasters, with feed thicknesses up to 1/2 inch on select systems.

Results depend on your volume, pricing, and utilization, so iJetColor does not publish a fixed return figure. What drives the economics is minimal makeready waste, job changeovers of only 1–2 pieces, and bringing outsourced short-run work back in-house, which is faster and more profitable than offset, outsourcing, or toner. Maximum media thickness depends on the model: 1/8 inch on the benchtop iJetColor 1175, 3/8 inch on the 1175C and on envelopes running through the 1175 Pro + PXG, and up to 1/2 inch for packaging substrates such as paper bags and small corrugate on the 1175 Pro + PXG.
